Building refurbishment
Restoration of existing buildings: facades, roofs and interiors.
Refurbishment recovers a building that already exists, instead of replacing it. It can range from work on a facade or a roof to the complete renovation of the interiors.
A refurbishment starts from the condition of the building: water ingress, cracks, deteriorated finishes and old installations. Only then is it decided what is repaired and what is replaced.
In old buildings, or in buildings with several owners, there are often rules and permits to comply with before the work starts.
